Like father like son, Dirk takes over Clive’s characters without missing a beat。 He gives us a spectacular thriller。 By the way Scott breath reader, if you speed them up to one and three-quarter time reads in such an exciting way that it seems like an all time cliffhanger。
Charlie Ravioli,
Haven't read a Dirk Pitt book in ages! My first one by the son。 Was like catching up with an old friend。 Pure, simple fun。 Haven't read a Dirk Pitt book in ages! My first one by the son。 Was like catching up with an old friend。 Pure, simple fun。 。。。more
Jake Blume,
RIP Clive Cussler 17 out of 17 awesome Dirk Pitt adventures with Al Giordino at his side throughout。 Thanks for all great reads
JoAnn Wells,
I love Cusslers books even when they run long or get too technical。 Yes they are also a bit fantastical in the Indiana Jones type action in every book where no matter what the Pitt family is swinging from they manage to land in the exact location needed to flip a switch with gunfire zinging past their head。 That’s the beauty of these books。 I can see the action adventure in my head while reading。 I never tire of the lost artifacts being returned while fighting the bad guys。 Always an education f I love Cusslers books even when they run long or get too technical。 Yes they are also a bit fantastical in the Indiana Jones type action in every book where no matter what the Pitt family is swinging from they manage to land in the exact location needed to flip a switch with gunfire zinging past their head。 That’s the beauty of these books。 I can see the action adventure in my head while reading。 I never tire of the lost artifacts being returned while fighting the bad guys。 Always an education from the ocean to in this case, the mountains。 Great story, can’t wait for another。 。。。more
Scott Neumann,
I've been a Clive Cussler fan for a long time , I had been reading him religiously ever since a friend of mines father gave me a copy of Iceberg when I was 12, but over the last 10 years or so started slacking off。 The books became to formulaic, the plots were predicated on coincidence and in the case of the Dirk Pitt novels his children are annoying characters。 The Devil's Sea happens to be the first posthumous release of Cussler's without his input, so I decided to give it a try。 Was I I've been a Clive Cussler fan for a long time , I had been reading him religiously ever since a friend of mines father gave me a copy of Iceberg when I was 12, but over the last 10 years or so started slacking off。 The books became to formulaic, the plots were predicated on coincidence and in the case of the Dirk Pitt novels his children are annoying characters。 The Devil's Sea happens to be the first posthumous release of Cussler's without his input, so I decided to give it a try。 Was I disappointed? No。 Was I glad to be back in this world? Not really! Was it any good? Actually yes it was, but it was pretty much more of the same。 It feels just like a Cussler novel。 His son has been writing them long enough that their voices are pretty much the same。\If you're a fan of international thrillers, fast paced action, and cinematic style action set pieces, then you can't go wrong spending some time in this world。 。。。more
Warren R。 Kramer,
Book number 26 in the seriesThey just get better with each new title。 A really great read。 I hope they never stop。 Dirk。please keep NUMA alive。
John Atkins,
The adventure continues I’ve always been a Clive Cussler fan and was very sad to hear of his passing。 His son, Dirk did his father proud with this one。 Great read, lots of action and really enjoyed it。
Daniel Breston,
If Dirk Cussler keeps writing like this then all is okI was nervous。 Not anymore。 Slow down a little your story。 Teach us something。 Looking forward to your Titanic Dirk!
Connie,
Awesome book! This book is written in typical can't put it down Cussler fashion。 I have a massive Cussler book library and I deem this one of the best。 Thank you for putting Dirk senior and Al back in action! Ricki,
This should be billed as more of a Dirk & Al G plus Summer & Dirk Jr book as the adventure is split between the two teams。 I also always enjoy the bit of history in the beginning and the tie up to the current story near the end。

Galem,
CC never disappoints。 Think I have read every one in the NUMA series。 This one did not disappoint。 Action on every page and not a lot of filler words。 Loved this。
Diane Saul,
You can always depend on Cussler to give you an action packed page turning story。 This one doesn’t disappoint。 It is always fun seeing what the characters in his books are up to。 Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy。
Stephen Williams,
Another gripping addition to the seriesThis is another gripping story that is a great addition to the series。 The team from NUMA manage to thwart disaster dreamed up by rogue elements of the Chinese armed forces。
Candy,
Another exciting book where you just have to keep turning pages。 Two stories evolved separately but didn’t distract。 It was easy to keep each straight。 Always good to have our NUMA friends on hand and to continue their adventures。
Derek,
Entertaining and action packed。 those are the words i would use to describe this next chapter in the Dirk Pitt adventures。 I think this book actually was less convoluted than a lot of the other Pitt novels。 There was really two storylines, instead of the typical 3 or 4。 While still not necessarily overlapping, they both in their own right were entertaining。 While there is never anything really "special" about these books, they always entertain and that is more than enough for me!Thank you to Dir Entertaining and action packed。 those are the words i would use to describe this next chapter in the Dirk Pitt adventures。 I think this book actually was less convoluted than a lot of the other Pitt novels。 There was really two storylines, instead of the typical 3 or 4。 While still not necessarily overlapping, they both in their own right were entertaining。 While there is never anything really "special" about these books, they always entertain and that is more than enough for me!Thank you to Dirk Cussler, NetGalley, and G。P。 Putnam's Sons for providing me with an advanced reading copy。 。。。more

Another wonderful action adventure story written by Clive Cussler's son, Dirk Cussler。 Near Taiwan is a section of the ocean known as the Devil's Sea, is similar to the Bermuda Triangle in the Atlantic, in that the currents are unpredictable and thing disappear or go badly when traveling through it。 Dirk Pit, Sr。 and Al Giordino are doing a geological survey in the area when a missile crash lands in the sea。 They are told to try to retrieve the wreckage。In 1959 a Buddhist artifact was lost durin Another wonderful action adventure story written by Clive Cussler's son, Dirk Cussler。 Near Taiwan is a section of the ocean known as the Devil's Sea, is similar to the Bermuda Triangle in the Atlantic, in that the currents are unpredictable and thing disappear or go badly when traveling through it。 Dirk Pit, Sr。 and Al Giordino are doing a geological survey in the area when a missile crash lands in the sea。 They are told to try to retrieve the wreckage。In 1959 a Buddhist artifact was lost during the escape of the Dali Lama from encroaching Chinese Communist in Tibet。 The two incidents lead the group on a fantastic trail of danger。 The twins, Dirk and Summer follow the trail leading to the lost artifacts, as their father encounters all kinds of trouble as they try to recover the missile parts。 In typical Cussler fashion, the teams face seemingly insurmountable challenges , injuries and make new friends along the way。This was a nail biting read that I was unable to put down。 So much fun and as with all Cussler books , it never disappoints and leave you wanting more!!! 。。。more
